Increasing residents’ friendships can almost double their likelihood to renew. That’s the conclusion of a groundbreaking study by Witten Advisors.
Witten correlated the number of friendships that a resident has in a community to their likelihood to renew. The shocking find was that over 50% of the residents surveyed said they had 0 friends that live in their apartment community. The study showed that if residents have zero friends, their likelihood to renew is 29%, but if they have 7 or more friends in the community, their likelihood to renew goes to 47%.
